色んな所に行きました ▶︎平柳◀︎

Today I went to St Paul's Cathedral Melbourne after school. It was so magnificent and beautiful beyond description. I think there is no holy cathedral like this in Japan so I was moved when I came in the building. Actually I hadn't seen the interior of the cathedral, I can see the exterior of it on the way to the school every weekday though.

St Paul's Cathedral was designed by William Butterfield who was one of famous revival architects. It is said that this church is his final masterpiece. And the Cathedral's foundation stone was laid in 1880, and work continued for 11 years.  It was built in the neo Gothic transitional style and it has very delicate and sophisticated details like a stained glass window, furniture and sculpture.

By the way, I went to many places last weekend. I went to The Royal Botanical Garden which is the most famous one in Melbourne last Saturday and I saw so many various plants that I had never seen in my life.

Last Sunday, I visited The Immigration Museum with my Chinese classmates to do assignment. After that I got on the train to get to home but I went past my station while I was meditating. Eventually I arrived at the station which I don't know at all. However I could see the sea from the station. Fortunately there was a bus that runs to my station so I jumped on the bus in a hurry and I could come back home safely.

I hope I will experience many things more and more during this month.

  2. If you are impressed by the cathedral, maybe your next trip is Europe? There are many very beautiful ones in Europe.
